About Us

As the leading metropolitan race club in Queensland, we conduct over 150 race meetings each year. Home to midweek and Saturday race meetings, we’re renowned for our friendly atmosphere and easy viewing of the home straight and parade ring from the wide-open lawns and grandstand.

We have two restaurants and bars both offering a one-of-a-kind dining experience with great views of the harness racing, so you don’t miss out on any of the fun! Our bistro, Pacers and Chasers is open on all race meetings and 30 minutes before our first race, and our newest restaurant and bar, The Creek is open to all members with premium hospitality and views.

If you would like to experience dining like no other, call to reserve a table with us today! Children are always welcome in our club but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

The Albion Park Trotting Club, as it was known, commenced racing in September 1968, heralding in a new era in the harness racing industry.

The first meeting under lights took place on Saturday the 7th of September 1968, with  packed grandstands, near 80 bookmakers and an estimated crowd of over 15,000 people.

Night trotting races soon became popular in Brisbane, as the venue was only a stone’s throw away from Brisbane’s CBD and located in the neighbourhood of some of the city’s most affluent suburbs.
