Award winner gives Redcliffe sale a real boost

The crowning of brilliant colt For Real Life as the 2022 Queensland 2YO of the Year at the annual Awards Dinner on Sunday night has provided a fillip for this year’s Garrard’s Redcliffe Yearling Sale.

The For A Reason colt, who won the $103,000 QBRED Triad Final and ran second in the $103,000 Garrard’s Redcliffe Yearling Sales Series Final, is a graduate of the 2021 Garrard’s Redcliffe sale.

The 2023 Redcliffe Yearling Sale will be conducted by Darren Ebert & Co at Redcliffe Paceway on Sunday, April 2 at 12 noon.

The auction has attracted 57 entries including stock by leading sires such as Bettor’s Delight, American Ideal, Somebeachsomewhere, Sweet Lou, Rock N Roll Heaven, Always B Miki, Sportswriter, Betting Line, A Rocknroll Dance, He’s Watching, Changeover, For A Reason and Cammibest and exciting, new stallions in Captain Crunch, McWicked, Ultimate Machete, Lather Up, The Storm Inside, Ohoka Punter, Soho Tribeca and Franco Nelson.

A sustaining payment of only $250 will make yearlings sold at the sale eligible for the guaranteed $100,000 Garrard’s Redcliffe Yearling Sale 2YO Classic in 2024 and the $50,000 3YO Classic in 2025.

General Admission

We offer free admission on all general race meetings, feature race meetings or charity events may have an entry fee. If you are unsure if the day you are attending is a feature race meeting please contact the club on 07 3262 2577.

Dress Code

The minimum dress standard for members of the general public attending The Creek is clean and neat casual dress. Footwear is mandatory at all times. Members of the general public may be refused entry by Club Officials if it is felt that these standards are not being adhered to.

Parking

Free parking is available for all general race day attendees. Our carpark can be accessed via Yulestar St, which is directly across the road from the Breakfast Creek Hotel carpark.

Race Day Facilities

Located within our main Grandstand building you will find Pacers and Chasers Bar & Bistro, TOTE and self serve betting terminals, as well as glass windows and television screens for race viewing. The building has a disabled lift and the grandstand includes a viewing deck for wheelchair access.
