Pelican Waters Resort joins The Creek stable

Off the back of a successful summer carnival, The Creek has announced a brand-new sponsor, with Pelican Waters Resort joining The Creek’s sponsorship stable from 2022.

The Creek CEO Scott Steele welcomed Pelican Waters Resort, who will sponsor the mile rate and monthly races from 2022.

“It’s great to have the Perks family (who operate the resort) on board with us at Albion Park,” Mr Steele said.

“They’re a keen racing family with racehorses across both codes and thoroughly enjoy the trotters.

“We look forward to a long and successful relationship with Pelican Waters Resort and believe this is a great platform for better things to come.

“With the Inter Dominion set to be staged at Albion Park in 2023, Pelican Waters Resort will be an ideal destination for those looking to be part of the series.”

Ash and Liza Perks took over management of Pelican Waters Resort in early 2021.

“We were visiting Queensland as a family and watching our horse race at Corbould Park in the Sunshine Coast,” they said.

“Whilst we were here, we really fell in love with the area, the lifestyle and the people here.

“We wanted to find somewhere that we could add value to the Sunshine Coast and it’s community.

“So we ended up at Pelican Waters Resort, a quiet, sophisticated, relaxed atmosphere but accessible to virtually anyone, and a place that we all love waking up to every morning.

“Our vision for our Resort is to create an amazing experience from the minute our guests arrive to the minute they leave.”

The couple said the sponsorship with The Creek would help generate great exposure for their business.

“Albion Park races three times a week and every race has a mile rate – across pacers and trotters,” they said.

General Admission

We offer free admission on all general race meetings, feature race meetings or charity events may have an entry fee. If you are unsure if the day you are attending is a feature race meeting please contact the club on 07 3262 2577.

Dress Code

The minimum dress standard for members of the general public attending The Creek is clean and neat casual dress. Footwear is mandatory at all times. Members of the general public may be refused entry by Club Officials if it is felt that these standards are not being adhered to.

Parking

Free parking is available for all general race day attendees. Our carpark can be accessed via Yulestar St, which is directly across the road from the Breakfast Creek Hotel carpark.

Race Day Facilities

Located within our main Grandstand building you will find Pacers and Chasers Bar & Bistro, TOTE and self serve betting terminals, as well as glass windows and television screens for race viewing. The building has a disabled lift and the grandstand includes a viewing deck for wheelchair access.
