The Creek Welcomes New Board of management

The Creek, Albion Park Harness Racing Club, has announced a new management board following their recent Annual General Meeting on January 17.

Brad Steele takes the reins as the Clubs new Chairman and brings 30 years’ experience in leadership and member experience, holding the current position of General Manager Sales and Distribution at one of Queensland’s largest privately owned financial institution.

Joining him on the board of management for 2021 will be Greg Mitchell, stepping up to the position of Vice Chairman, while the position of Treasurer will be held by Jeff Riseley.

Other board members for 2021 include Paul Ellis, Nathan Hand, Peter Bell and Warwick Stansfield.

Mr Steele also acknowledged the contribution of former committee members Linda Graham, Damian Courtney and Trevor O’Reilly who have now ended their term.

“We thank all the previous committee for their club service during 2020”.

“With the launch of our new membership offer, the new Creek Bar, and an exhilarating program of events, we are looking forward to an exciting year at The Creek in 2021.”

This follows the recent retirement of former Chairman David Fowler. After six years at the helm, Mr Fowler announced his retirement as Chairman on 30^th December 2020.

New Chairman Mr Brad Steele also thanked Mr Fowler for his contribution during his term.

“I am very much looking forward to leveraging off the skillsets and insights that the new board of management bring to the table together with creating more value and experiences for our club members and patrons.”
