The Creek has announced an expanded series of bonus races, with $4,500 in monthly bonuses for members, trainers and owners from January.
The new Bonus Bonanza Saturdays will elevate the last Saturday of each month at The Creek, with bonus meetings starting from Saturday 29 January.
The Ultimate Tools Bonus races will be programmed to offer six two-year-old races and a further six three-year-old races that will be conducted as a combination of $12,000 and $20,000 features.
Ultimate Tools will provide a $500 bonus to be evenly split between the driver and trainer, along with a further $500 Ultimate Tools voucher to the winning trainer.
After successful introduction in 2021, The Creek CEO Scott Steele confirmed the Members Bonus Race would continue in 2022 as part of the Bonus Bonanza.
“We will again be randomly drawing one race on the last Saturday of each month to be listed as our Members Bonus Race,” Mr Steele said.
“The winners of this race will be eligible for a $200 bonus to the owners, trainers and drivers.
“That’s up to $600 in bonuses and participants who are owners, trainers and drivers (or a combination) with individual participants eligible for all three prizes.
“In the event that multiple owners are members, the owners bonus will be evenly split.
“What a great reason to become a Creek or Industry member, with packages starting from just $150 for individuals or $200 for couples.”
Mr Steele also announced two new initiatives that will form part of the Bonus Bonanza Saturdays.
“We’re excited to announce our new Monthly Mighty Mares bonuses.
“Each week, we will have a dedicated mares race on Saturday nights, with the top three placegetters accumulating points on a 3, 2, 1 system.
“Then at the end of each month, the mare with the highest points will be crowned the Mighty Mare of the Month.
“The winning owners will receive a service to Changeover (standing at Burwood Stud), while the trainers will receive a $250 cash bonus.”
The final new bonus feature will be dedicated to trotters, with a new Trotters Bonus Race commencing in March.
“We’ve launched a brand-new Trotters Club initiative where trotting trainers and owners can sign up to be eligible for $1,000 in cash bonus each month.
“The cost to join the club starts from $200 and provides eligibility for a $750 owners bonus and $250 trainers bonus every month.
“We’ll also be putting on some complimentary hospitality for the Trotters Club owners and trainers on the last Saturday of each month.
Mr Steele confirmed the new initiatives were part of The Creek’s focus to improve engagement with industry participants and work alongside Racing Queensland to build innovative programming and prizemoney for the industry.
