Renovations underway

A significant milestone was reached today, with work beginning on the full renovation of Pacers & Chasers bistro.

Phase 1 will concentrate on the inside area of Pacers & Chasers which will be completed in time for one of the most anticipated Constellations Carnivals ever hosted, which will incorporate the Inter Dominion for the first time.

Part of these works necessitates the closure to Pacers & Chasers over the next 2-3 weeks to ensure a timely and safe completion of the refurbishment.

From Thursday May 8, for the next 2-3 weeks, both The Winning Post marquee and The Creek Bar will be open to welcome members and guests on race day/night.

During this time there will be some menu adjustments resulting from the limitations with the kitchen, while full bar and tote facilities will remain available.

While phase 1 concentrates on the internal facilities, phase 2 of the works will subsequently follow, focusing on the building exterior, entries and signage.

This is a very exciting time for the Club and would not have been possible without the support of our Chairman, Board of Directors, sponsors, members, patrons and Racing Queensland.

In conjunction with Racing Queensland and our renovation contractors Outkast we are excited to implement these much-needed upgrades that have been required for many years and look forward to welcoming you during the works and following their completion.

We also acknowledge the cooperation of the QGRC to start these works and with their departure from Albion Park coming soon, we will be looking at retiring the Pacers & Chasers name and exploring alternative naming options for the renovated area.
